Q: I’m not comfortable coming to work right now.  Do I need to fill out a leave of absence (LOA) form?
  • A: That’s absolutely ok if you don’t want to come to work, we understand.  You do NOT need to fill out a LOA form, please stay in communication with your GM during this time.

Q: My hours have been reduced can I apply for unemployment?
  • A: Yes, we encourage our employees to utilize the resources provided at this time.

Q: When filing for unemployment, what do I need?
  • A: Depending on the state you are filing in there may be additional info required, please visit the websites listed on associate resources (above) for more information.
            Typically, you’ll need:
  • Company Tax Id
  • Unemployment Insurance number
  • A letter from your employer stating your hours have been reduced (Ask your GM)
  • An average of your quarterly wages (doesn’t have to be exact; (hourly rate multiplied by sum of hours in each work week).
  • Company address.  2211 Encinitas Blvd., Encinitas, CA 92024

Q: Can I take a vacation if I don’t want to come to work?
  • A: No, we are not approving any vacation requests at this time.

Q: Does the FFCRA Act apply to me?
  • A: No, unfortunately it only applies to companies with less than 500 employees.

Q: What applies to me regarding the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARE) Act?
  • OTC products as eligible expenses: Over-the-counter products are now eligible expenses for Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA) without a prescription.
  • The CARE Act also gives relief to individuals. The federal government will directly pay $1,200 to most U.S. adults who earn less than $75,000 and $500 to most children. Married couples earning less than $150,000 would receive $2,400 combined. People who earn more may receive smaller checks, but individuals earning more than $99,000 and couples earning more than $198,000 are not eligible for the direct payments.
  • Unemployment insurance provisions now include an additional $600 per week payment to each recipient for up to four months, and extend UI benefits for some. The federal government will provide temporary full funding of the first week of regular unemployment for states with no waiting period and extend UI benefits for an additional 13 weeks through December 31, 2020 after state UI benefits end.
  • The bill waives a 10% early withdrawal penalty for distributions up to $100,000 for coronavirus-related purposes, retroactive to Jan. 1.
Q: How do I get the money from the government?
  • A: Visit irs.gov to get the most accurate info.

Tip! Make sure the IRS has your direct deposit info so you receive your funds quickly.

Q: I’d like to adjust my 401K, what do I do?
  • A: Visit principal.com and make your adjustment.  Then email hr@mannadevelopment.com of the change.  They systems don’t “talk” to each other, if you don’t email HR they can’t change in payroll.

Tip!  If you make this request the same day you get paid, it won’t kick in till the fallowing pay day, sooner the better.

It's important to share that anyone who owns a home right now, needs to take the appropriate steps to get approved for the suspended mortgage payments. It's not an automatic granted suspension, it's only available to those who qualify. It's also helpful to know that those who take advantage of it, and essentially putting themselves in a more challenging position with the mortgage bank they send the payments.
